Alyson Harrell is a 4th grade teacher at an elementary school in Colorado. She has a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Education from the University of Colorado. She is in her 7th year of teaching, a career she felt compelled to transition after working as a volunteer tutor at a local women’s shelter. She believes that the role of educators goes well beyond academics, and that kids do best when they feel valued and seen. She values a growth mindset and the celebration of student achievements, both big and small!
