In this 3 credit graduate-level course, students will learn how to appropriately include, celebrate, and support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) students. This course will give guidance, resources, and best practices for becoming an advocate for your students and creating an inclusive learning environment. It will also help you understand the definitions of self-identifying terms, as well as laws and policies that support safe and welcoming schools.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
*Optional Adams State University credit after the class ends (additional $165).
