Wellness is a critical component for student achievement, school culture as well as staff retention. Many districts seek “wellness champions” to serve as an ambassador for district employee wellness programs. In this 3 credit graduate-level course, teachers, counselors, or administrators will lead a wellness project or initiative to improve the health of school staff. Participants will conduct a needs assessment, submit a project proposal, keep a log of activities and time (totaling 30 hours), submit proof of activities, and write a final reflection.
