Course Description

This graduate-level course is designed for educators seeking to create math classrooms where students are actively engaged, thinking deeply, and developing meaningful mathematical understanding. Participants will explore practical, classroom-ready strategies that strengthen collaboration, discussion, problem solving, differentiation, and student ownership. The course examines how instructional routines, questioning strategies, technology integration, and assessment practices can be intentionally used to increase engagement and support a wide range of learners.

Throughout the course, educators will apply and reflect on strategies that promote conceptual understanding, mathematical discourse, confidence, and participation. Participants will examine student thinking through formative assessment and feedback while refining their instructional practice over time. By the end of the course, educators will design a meaningful math lesson or unit that integrates the key concepts explored throughout the course and supports continued professional growth.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
